Jimmy Harold Tyer, of Kinston, NC, passed away peacefully June 7, 2017 at home with his loving, devoted wife Judy and son Dean at his side. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (II Timothy 4:7). A memorial service to honor his life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Tanglewood Church of God with Pastor Allen Stocks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, Jim Arthur of Oak Island. Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home, a son- Dean Tyer of Oak Island, a brother- Tommy Tyer of Hampstead, brother-in-law- Billy Beamon of Morehead City, Dennis Beamon and wife Debbie of Snow Hill, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
