Mr. Melvin Augustus Bradley, age 77, a resident of Chocowinity, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home.
Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at First Free Will Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Todd Parrish.
Mr. Bradley was born July 4, 1939 in Poinsett County, Arkansas to the late Donald Philip Bradley and Blennie Armentha Bennett Bradley. He served in the United States Army. On May 31, 1963, he married Jerry Robinson who survives. He retired in 1997 from Singer Furniture Company with 37 years of service and in 2017 after 20 years of service delivering newspapers for the Washington Daily News. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry R. Bradley of the home; one daughter, Christy Bradley of Williamston; two daughters-in-law, Cameron Smith Bradley, Susan Cooperman Bradley, both of Washington; mother-in-law, Clara Robinson of Trumann, Arkansas; two brothers, Bobby Bradley and wife Rose of Trumann, Arkansas, Thomas Bradley and wife Dianne of Macon, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Lampkin of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Bradley, Fletcher D. House III and Chandler Scott Bradley. He was preceded in death by his son, Geoffrey Scott Bradley and two brothers, Donald Bradley and Rayborn Bradley.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
