Myrtle Ruth Willard, a native of Greenville, N.C., died quietly at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Waiteville, W.V. on May 22. She was 95 years of age.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Willard, of Washington; a son, Joe E. Willard Jr.; and her sister Blanche Jones of Greenville. She is survived by her sister Faye Smith and son James Willard.

Until 2012, she had resided in Gates County, N.C.

A brief memorial service will be held at Zion Methodist Church, Hobbsville, N.C., on July 8th at 10:00 A.M.
