Higher Heights Human Services hosted its third-annual Pig Pickin’ for a Cause on Friday evening at St. Clair Ranch in Washington. It is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, and this year’s proceeds will go toward renovations on a maternity home in the works, according to program coordinator Christie Moler. Keyzer’s Catering provided food for the pig pickin’, and DJ Jackie Haislip provided music. The event also featured live and silent auctions, as well as a cake auction.

Higher Heights is dedicated to helping teenage mothers in Beaufort County continue their education and prevent secondary pregnancies.
