Mr. Michael Charles “Mike” Polovitch, age 61, a resident of Belhaven, died Thursday, July 6, 2017.

The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Linwood Adams. The family will receive friends other times at the home of Tim & Valla Phelps, located on Hubs Rec Road, Belhaven.

Mike was born in Union County, NJ on November 12, 1955, son of the late Michael Polovitch and the late Irene Mary Migas Polovitch. He attended high school in Nicholson, PA and later moved to Beaufort County. Mike was owner/operator of Mike Polovitch HVAC of Pantego. His heating and air conditioning expertise helped many people of Beaufort County. He especially helped many elderly customers living alone.

Survivors include a daughter: Michele C. Blackman, and husband Kevin of Shelby; two sisters: Irene H. Ryan of Los Alamos, NM and Janet Irene Carol of Hilo, HI; his aunt: Catherine Smith of Belhaven; four grandchildren: Tara Askew-Blackman, Mason Blackman, Brody Blackman and Blake Blackman and numerous cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and by his son: Michael William Polovitch and a sister: Diane Susan Polovitch.
