Pets of the week

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Chloe

Cute as can be — that’s our Chloe. At 1 year, 6 months old, this medium-size, Beagle-mix girl is stunning with her shorthair coat of black and brindle. Chloe, with a pretty face and a disposition to match, loves people and their attention. She needs a family with owner(s) willing to give her their love, care, attention and exercise/play time in a fenced area or on leash. Chloe will make a wonderful pet and companion in a variety of home settings.

Elizabeth

Friendly, beautiful and a little shy, this 1-year-old, American shorthair tabby girl wears a coat of light and dark gray stripes with huge pale green eyes. Elizabeth loves to be held, sweet talked, petted and rubbed. When given a good, forever home, with loving and caring owner(s), she will blossom into a wonderful pet and companion.
