Down East Seniors reminisce on the past

The Down East Seniors Club held its Sept. 6 meeting at the Blind Center of North Carolina in Washington. President Stewart Rumley led the meeting. Mark Eakes led the singing of “God Bless America,” and Charles Smith gave the invocation. Ed Hamrick read factoids for the date in history and Dick Paul provided humor. There was one guest present. Rumley announced that former member Roger Tuttle recently died.
Program Chairman Eakes told of something he wished he had done differently in his life. Then he asked other members to do the same. Quite a few did this and others told of things they were glad they did.
Smith won the 50/50 drawing.
