Robert Edward Bowen, 79 of Williamston passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in his home. Mr. Bowen was born on September 15, 1938 to Emma Virginia Moore and William “Willie” Molatha Bowen. He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation and he served our country as a member of the United States Navy. He was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving include his wife, Frances Gayle Taylor Bowen; his daughter Lisa Gayle Tankard and her husband Alston of Washington; his son William Edward Bowen of Williamston; his sisters: Doris Jean Mobley and her husband James of San Diego, CA, Allie Faye Toth of Marksville, and Willie Lou Dunlow of Williamston; two grandchildren: Alyssa Gayle Tankard and Catherine Marie Tankard.

A celebration of Mr. Bowen’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Chris Watkins officiating.
