Lottie Leona Wiggins Bright, age 95, a resident of Chocowinity, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be officiated by Reverend Jerry Smith.

Mrs. Bright was born in Beaufort County on December 27, 1921 to the late Johnny Richardson Wiggins and Ida Lewis Wiggins. On December 30, 1936, she married Henry Clifton Bright who preceded her in death on December 16, 2009. She was a farmer and she owned and operated Bright Strawberry Farm. Mrs. Bright was a member of Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Melvin Bright and wife Brenda of Morehead City; a grandson, Phillip Strickland; a great-grandson, Phillip Caleb Strickland; and a brother, Mayhue Wiggins and wife Shelva.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
