Mr. Jason Scott Tyson, age 41, a resident of Chocowinity, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, officiated by Travis Boyd. Pallbearers will be Mike Hill, Dale Borden, Aaron Mobley, John Waters, Joel Leggett, Rick Jewett and Chris Cahoon.
The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his father, Earl Tyson, located at 4163 Cherry Road, Washington.
Jason was born in Beaufort County on August 6, 1976, son of Linwood Earl Tyson and Peggy Ann Shiflett Spivey. He was a 1994 graduate of Chocowinity High School. On April 19, 2014, he married the former Sarah Jessica Jackson who survives. Jason was a former supervisor at ASMO of Greenville.
Surviving along with his wife Sarah of the home is his son: Conner Tyson of the home; his father: Earl Tyson of Washington; his mother: Peggy Spivey and her husband Moe of Suffolk, VA; a brother: Randy Tyson and his wife Susan of Washington; nephews: Alex Tyson and Aaron Mobley, both of Washington, and niece: Samantha Spain of Washington. Jason was predeceased by his stepfather: Glenn Buck and his father-in-law: Tony Mayhew Jackson.
