Burnie Fulton Collins, Jr.

Mr. Burnie Fulton Collins, Jr., age 83, a resident of Pamlico Beach Belhaven, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Autumnfield Nursing Home in Pinetown.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Wake Forrest United Methodist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Sam Loy and Rev. Donald Warren.
Mr. Collins was born on Nov. 29, 1934, to the late Burnie Fulton Collins, Sr. and Louise Reese Collins. He graduated from Louisburg College, Atlantic Christian College and South Eastern Seminary. Early in his career he served as a minister of music in Baptist churches and worked for the Baptist Children’s Home. He retired as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the Methodist Children’s Home. Mr. Collins was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gayla Greene Collins, three children, Trish Tooley, Kevin Collins, John Collins, one grandchild, Ray Tooley, two brothers, Jim Collins, and Jerry Collins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Disaster Recovery Program, NC Conference of the United Methodist Church, 700 Waterfield Ridge Place, Garner, NC 27529.
