William Crowe of Edenton named Columbia town attorney

The Columbia Board of Aldermen on Febuary 5 selected the Edenton law firm of High & Crowe LLP to represent the town in its legal matters.
High & Crowe LLP is a full service law firm with an extended history of effective representation of governmental clients throughout northeastern North Carolina. The firm represents a number of governmental agencies including Perquimans County, Chowan County Department of Social Services, Edenton-Chowan Board of Education, Town of Winfall, Gates County Department of Social Services, Perquimans County Department of Social Services, and the Albemarle Child Support Agency.
William Crowe will act as primary attorney for the Town and will be assisted by his partner W. Hackney High Jr.
Crowe has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Masters of Public Administration degree with a specialty in Urban Management from North Carolina State University, and a law degree from North Carolina Central University.
Prior to going to law school, Crowe worked with the Public Works/Utilities Department of the Town of Cary and served as the town manager of the Town of Oriental for three years.
- Hackney High Jr. graduated from Washington High School and received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Campbell University.
