Mrs. Vera Staten, also known as “Dearie,” of 916 Runyon Road, Washington, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at home. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. John MBC in Washington. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 8, in the Leon Randolph Memorial Chapel from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.; other times at the home. Arrangements are by Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W.
