Master gardeners prepare for annual pass-along plant sale

Published 7:27 pm Thursday, April 12, 2018

Spring is the time of the year we are anxious to get into our gardens to introduce new plants to our landscape and a great time to plant all those perennials, shrubs and herbs to enjoy throughout the summer. Come to the annual Extension Master Gardener Plant Sale to buy locally grown plants on April 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. We appreciate cash or check only. This rain or shine event will be held at the Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Center.

Shop for perennials, shrubs, vines, bulbs and amazing tomatoes for your garden. Find many beautiful hand crafted garden crafts and garden-theme yard sale items. You will also find a Garden Guide for our growing region.

Proceeds from the event will be used to create and enhance horticulture education projects and workshops for the gardening public. The goal of Cooperative Extension and the Extension Master Gardener program is to develop an educational environment that will benefit all the residents of Beaufort County.

Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Center is located at 155 Airport Road in Washington. To get there from 15th Street, turn north onto Market Street Extension, go 1 mile, turn left onto Airport Road for .2 miles. The Extension center is next to the Susiegray McConnell Sports Complex
