Introduced by club member Frank Belote, Purpose of God Annex founders Bishop Samuel and Mother Jones provided an update on their “Project New Hope” training program at Washington (noon) Rotary’s weekly meeting.

This initiative seeks to help individuals who have previously been convicted by the Beaufort County courts by providing life skills and soft job skills training to enhance their ability to return to the work force.

Jones’ organization is widely recognized as an effective organization. The local court and law enforcement system has worked closely with Purpose of God and Project New Hope and often places individuals in their programs as an alternative to further sentencing.

Bishop Jones thanked Washington (noon) Rotary for their continuing support and provided details and examples of what the program has accomplished with the club’s help.
