Manteo man arrested in Tyrrell for felony marijuana possession

At approximately 11:37 p.m. on April 12 a Tyrrell County Sheriff’s sergeant stopped a vehicle on U.S. 64 west of Columbia for speeding 83 miles per hour in a 70-mph zone, Sheriff Darryl Liverman reported.

When the deputy approached he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. As a result a search was conducted and four ounces of marijuana were found in the vehicle.

Matthew Orgsbon, 20, of Manteo was arrested for felony possession of marijuana. Orgbon was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
