The Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea) eats a wide variety of insects besides the dragonfly shown in the photo. Their diet includes seeds, mollusks, berries, snails and fruit. On Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, visit Buffalo City Road boat launch and Sandy Ridge Wildlife Trail to possibly spot these bright yellow warblers.
