Ms. Nina Ruth Squires Paul, age 64, a resident of 4990 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, conducted by Rev. Edwin Hill. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Trey Evans, Freddie Squires, Russell Squires Sr., Elmer Ray Squires Jr., Russell Squires Jr. and Gregory Squires will serve as pallbearers. Jonathan Hardy will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Ms. Paul was born April 7, 1954, in Beaufort County to the late Samuel Wilson Squires Sr. and Nellie Gray Koonce Squires. She attended Bath High School, was a machine operator with National Spinning for 31 years and was employed in housekeeping with Beaufort County Hospital for five years.

Survivors include her life companion, Jimmy Boles, of the home; her son, Larry Webster Paul Jr., of Bath; her sister, Ada Evans and husband Jim, of Washington; and five brothers, Sammy Squires Jr. and wife Teresa, of Greenville, Frederick Thomas Squires and wife Linda, of Pantego, and Timmy Lee Squires, of Washington. She was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Jo Harris, and two brothers, Elmer Ray Squires and Perry Wayne Squires.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of her sister, Ada Evans, 5894 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, NC 27889, and her brother, Sammy Squires, 1703 Foster Road, Greenville, NC 27858.
