Mr. George Edward Smith, age 73, a resident of Chocowinity and formerly of Concord, N.C. and Richmond, VA died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Washington. The family will receive friends following the service in Wesley Hall at the church.

Mr. Smith is a retired Construction Project Manager from Philip Morris, USA in Richmond, VA.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Kay Harris Smith of the home; two sons, Todd and Troy; sister, Patricia Smith Hall; and five grandsons whom he cherished.
