Down and dirty at the Pantego Mud Run

IN DEEP: Engines revved and mud flew high on Wednesday as the Pantego Volunteer Fire Department hosted its 35th-annual Pantego Mud Run. More than 30 lifted trucks of all makes and models put their engines to the test during the event, fighting their way through a wicked 200-yard-long mud hole. With between 200 and 300 attendees to the event, the mud run is the Pantego VFD’s largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds are used to buy equipment and cover operating costs throughout the year.
