Doris Rae Barnes Simmons Phelps, 89, of New Bern and formerly of Creswell, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Mount Tabor Free Will Baptist Church, Creswell, with Reverends Ed Hill and Royce Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Mount Tabor Free Will Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
