The 48th annual Blackland Farm Managers Tour drew about 650 people to 3B Farms at Pinetown on August 1. Recent heavy rainfall prevented field trips, but presenters abounded. Dr. Fred Below, plant physiology professor at the University of Illinois, was guest speaker. The event was sponsored by North Carolina Cooperative Extension and the Blackland Farm Managers Association.
