Mrs. Beatrice Cuthrell Lilley Woolard, age 93, a resident of Pinetown, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by John Mark Windley. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Robert W. Lilley, Mitchell R. Lilley, Jeffrey L. Lilley, Stan N. Ainsley, Justin M. Lilley and William Everett will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Woolard was born on Oct. 9, 1924, to the late Robert Soreful Cuthrell and Ella Lee Roscoe Cuthrell. On July 9, 1944, she married Robert H. Lilley, who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1981. In 1983, she married James Edward “Tommy” Woolard, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1998.
Mrs. Woolard enjoyed vegetable gardening, going shopping, flowers and collecting doll babies for the home. She was fond of her time as a nurse and her work in home health. Mrs. Woolard was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Ainsley and husband Dwight. of Washington; her son, Marshall L. Lilley and wife Joann, of Pinetown; a daughter-in-law, Betty Lilley; seven grandchildren, Robert W. Lilley, Mitchell R. Lilley, Jeffrey L. Lilley, Dwight D. Ainsley, Stan N. Ainsley, Ashley L. Everett, Justin M. Lilley; five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Robert H. Lilley, Jr.; four brothers, Jack Cuthrell, John Robert Cuthrell, Robert Cuthrell, Jacob Cuthrell; and five sisters, Nancy Blake, Alice Adams, Carrie Chambers, Sudie Jarvis, and Agnes Brown.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of her son, Marshall L. Lilley.
