PLYMOUTH — Verdia Roberson Garrett, 78 of Plymouth died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Roanoke Landing in Plymouth.

Born February 27, 1940 in Martin County she was the daughter of the late Dempsey Roberson and Pearl Wells Roberson and was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Garrett; sisters, Mary Lou Carrow, Shirley Gurganus, Annie Cole; brother, Tommy Roberson; grandchildren, Angie Revell and Penny Miles. Verdia was a retired cashier with A&P Supermarkets.

Her family includes her sons, Jerry W. Garrett and wife Darlene of Lake City, S.C., Brad Garrett of Scranton, S.C. and Ronnie Garrett of New Orleans, LA.; daughter, Peggy G. Lawson and husband Robert of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Betty Jo Ange of Jamesville, Stella Windom of Plymouth and Laura Bland of Williamston; brother, Arnold Roberson of Plymouth; grandchildren, Brock Garrett and Maryse Davis.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Howard Simpson officiating.
