Nicknamed “Dimp” for her childhood dimples, Beverly Spencer went to be with Jesus and her beloved husband, Ed Spencer, on Saturday Dec. 15, 2018. After a day of miracles and family, Dimp passed away peacefully at Vidant InPatient Hospice of Greenville. In dying as in life, she faithfully served her Lord Jesus Christ glorifying God and blessing many others.

Dimp was born Nov. 5, 1929 in East Rochester, NY, daughter of Cecil and Anna Draper. She graduated from East Rochester High School in 1947 and met the love of her life, Ed Spencer, while working at Saxtons Department Store. They were married July 16, 1949 and moved a lot, Ed ministering to many Christian Churches/Churches of Christ and Dimp working as a LPN for almost 20 years. A life-long artist, student and music lover, Dimp had a delightful exuberance for life.

Dimp is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and siblings: Lorraine, Colleen, Aldeen and Bill. She is survived by her children: daughter Kim and son-in law Charles Winstead and son Dirck Spencer of Winterville NC, granddaughter Amber Winstead of Winterville NC, grandson Patrick Winstead of Charleston SC, grandson Johnathan Winstead of Johnson City TN, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved in-laws.
