Tommy Everett was elected chairman of the Tyrrell County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 3, as he began his seventh year on the board. Carl Willis was re-elected vice chairman. Other commissioners are Jordan Davis, Nina Griswell and Lawrence Swain. All five commissioners are Democrats.
