Mrs. Teena Kay Waters Ratcliff, age 62, a resident of Washington, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

Mrs. Ratcliff was born in Beaufort County on Feb. 17, 1956, to Hallet Long Waters and Monteen Harrison Waters. She enjoyed raising dogs while her health allowed.

Survivors include her husband, James Carmer Ratcliff, Jr., of the home; two sons, Jason Michael Midyette, of Pinetown, Robert Norman Midyette II and wife Kassie, of Washington; her mother, Monteen H. Waters, of Pinetown; two grandchildren; two sisters, Judi Sterrenberg and husband Chris, of Pinetown, Sarah Mason of Washington; a brother, Gregory Waters and wife Elizabeth, of Pinetown; three stepchildren and four step-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hallet L. Waters; a brother, Hallet Waters, Jr.; and a sister, Julia “Terry” Midyette.
