Mr. Gary Levern “Mickey” Slade, of the Sidney Cross Roads community in Belhaven, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at the Veterans Hospital in Durham. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the Holly Grove DOC Church in Belhaven. The body will be in the church one hour early at 11 a.m. The internment will be at the Slade family

cemetery. The family will be receiving family and friends at 4813 N.C. Highway 99 South, Belhaven. Arrangements are by New Beginning Funeral Services and Cremation, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
