Mamie King Harrell, 79, a resident of Washington for a little over a year, fell asleep in death on Feb. 1, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sarah King; three sons, Scott Hebden, William Hebden Jr. and Stephen Hebden.

Mamie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Horace Harrell; two sons, Dana Hebden, of Washington, and Chris Hebden, of Windsor; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faye King, of Haw River, Barbara Taylor, of Mebane; and a brother, Buddy King, of Gibsonville.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1732 N. Market St. in Washington on Feb. 16, 2019, at 2 p.m.
