Judge Regina Parker to keynote Coastal Pregnancy Center Banquet

Coastal Pregnancy Center (CPC) is pleased to announce that the Honorable Regina Parker will be the keynote speaker for their 10th annual “Celebration of LIFE” banquet on April 11, where they will, “Celebrate Families One Baby at a Time.” This event will be held at Wesley Hall, First United Methodist Church in Washington.

“We are delighted that Judge Parker will share her enthusiasm for Beaufort County families at our annual Celebration of LIFE,” says Susie Rollins, CPC’s Executive Director. In addition to Judge Parker’s talk, the banquet will introduce “learning stations” where guests will experience what CPC does “hands on.” Good food, worshipful music, and parade of blessings round out the program.

Parker received her Bachelors of Science from ECU and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Before her 2001 appointment to the District Court bench by Governor James B. Hunt, she worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Clifton Johnson on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, was a partner in the law firm of Smallwood, Rodgers and Hayes, and worked as an associate with The Law Office of Earl T. Brown.

In 2018, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Mark Martin appointed Parker Chief District Court Judge for District Two. She serves on numerous community and professional boards.

Judge Parker’s passion is serving the Lord and her community in any way possible. Parker is married to Dr. Norris Parker and they have two children Maya, 19 and Morgan, 12.

Because of God’s transforming mercy through Christ, Coastal Pregnancy Center exists to support and nurture babies and their families by providing abortion alternatives to those facing unplanned pregnancies, healing to those who have had an abortion, and by upholding truth to the community through abstinence education with the hope that others may experience His transforming grace.

Coastal Pregnancy Center assists local agencies by helping families in this community achieve a positive pregnancy and parenting outcome by offering pregnancy tests and ultrasounds and through the use of evidence-based education, class attendance incentives, material services and professional and peer counseling.
