Sheriff’s Office busts crack sales in Chocowinity

CHOCOWINITY — On March 15, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Joe Myers, 55, and Candace Woolard, 34, both of 1874 Old Blounts Creek Road in Chocowinity.

Myers was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of storing and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Woolard was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from Investigators executing a search warrant at 1874 Old Blounts Creek Rd. after making purchases of crack cocaine from the residence. Investigators and K-9 Bodi found crack cocaine and packaging material used to package crack cocaine.

Myers was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. Woolard was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond.
