Traffic stop nets pot and cocaine

AURORA — On March 11, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Dremal Keys, 31, of 375 West Fifth St. in Aurora. Keys was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.

Keys’ arrest stemmed from investigators receiving complaints about drug activity occurring on South Seventh Street in Aurora. Investigators conducted surveillance and witnessed Keys visiting the area on South Seventh Street in a vehicle with fictitious tags. Investigators knew Keys’ license were revoked and conducted a traffic stop on Keys. During the traffic stop, investigators found cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Keys was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
