William “Kelly” Apple, 52, of Jacksonville, N.C., passed away at home Aug. 28.

Kelly was born Dec. 30, 1966, in Washington, N.C. He is the son of Brenda Ingalls Apple and the late Larry Apple Sr. Kelly married the former Susan Chambers Aug. 15, 1992. He is survived by his wife, two children Victoria Potts and Steven Apple. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Callie and Nathan Potts, and two brothers, Larry Apple Jr., of Emerald Isle, N.C., and Keith Apple, of Kinston, N.C.

Kelly was an excellent ceramic tile setter, an avid fisherman and loved life.
