Pets of the Week: Nov. 2, 2019

Published 7:35 pm Friday, November 1, 2019

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs and ENC Shelter Cats on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.

Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.

Charlie

Approximately 1 year old, Charlie is a handsome, large, black and white, pit bull terrier-mix. He’s friendly, sweet, a bit shy, and he appears to be dog friendly. He will do best with loving, attentive owner(s) who will spend time with him, include him in their activities, give him regular exercise and play in a fenced area or on a leash, give obedience training and, of course, a good forever home. For more about Charlie, ID No. 1772, visit Facebook’s ENC Shelter Dogs page. Pay him a visit; he’s available at the shelter.

Lollipop

At approximately 2 years old, Lollipop, an American shorthair, black and white bicolor, is living, breathing artwork, dressed in her coat with shapes and swirls. She’s very affectionate, loving, friendly, lovable and a pure joy to be around. She will be a wonderful and welcome addition in a good, loving forever home. For more about Lollipop, ID No. 1756, see Facebook’s ENC Shelter Cats page. Come visit her — you’ll be glad you did.
