Dorothy “Dot” Hart Moye, age 96, a resident of 108 Waterford Place, Washington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Chocowinity. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville.
Mrs. Moye was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Greene County (Ormondsville) the daughter of the late Ray and Gladys Hart. She was married to James Franklin (J.F.) Moye, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Frank Moye and wife Lib, of Chocowinity, and William Moye and wife Conya, of Columbia; a sister, Hagar B. Jackson, of Hookerton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and one niece and a nephew.
