Arthur Godfrey Penhollow

Mr. Arthur Godfrey Penhollow, age 83, a resident of 900 Mouth of the Creek Road, Blounts Creek, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at his home.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Penhollow was born in Dubuque County, Iowa, on March 26, 1936, son of the late Harry John Penhollow and the late Evelyn Mae Ashbee Penhollow. On Nov. 17, 1973, he married the former Linda Marie Tharp, who survives. He was owner and operator of A.C.C., Inc. which specialized in roofing. In 2018, he retired due to his health. Mr. Penhollow was a member of First United Methodist Church of Washington. He loved animals, fishing, watching football, especially the ECU Pirates and Green Bay Packers, and was devoted to the Pam Pack wrestling team.
Surviving along with his wife, Linda, of the home, are four sons, Michael Hawthorne (Tony) of Phoenix, Arizona, Timothy Penhollow (Cheri), of Mebane, Christopher Penhollow (Susan), of Greenville, and Scott Penhollow, of Blounts Creek; five daughters, Carrie Lederman (Steve), of Winfield, Illinois, Tracy Mueller (Kevin), of Dubuque, Iowa, Tonia Mayerle (Joe), of Tucson, Arizona, Jennifer Pierce (Zack), of Raleigh, and Ardith Moore (Rex), of Pink Hill; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Penhollow was predeceased along with his parents by a son, Robert Penhollow; four brothers, Arnold, Gilbert, Gerald and Walter Penhollow; and two sisters, Thursa Hatch and Leta GildaRoad,
