Columbia Fire Department’s 1932 Ford fire engine, only fire truck in Tyrrell County until the mid-1940s, is to be restored for exhibit and use in parades. Tyrrell Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary donated $3,000 towards the project during the firefighters’ recent annual Christmas dinner.
