Detra Slade 47, of 609 Brown Drive, James City community, New Bern, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at Mt. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, New Bern. Burial will follow in the Historic Meadows Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends at the residence where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
