Mr. Hilton “Joe Wheat” Battle, of Washington, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at the NC Veterans Home, Kinston. A memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at the New Beginning FH&C Chapel, Washington. Arrangements are by New Beginning Funeral Services and Cremation, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
