Recently, the North Carolina Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, presented Tracey Rock with their Merit Award. The Society is made up of natural resource professionals. It recognizes achievements in all kinds of natural resource management. Tracey is the volunteer coordinator for, Coastal Wildlife Refuge Society, a non-profit friends group that supports the Coastal North Carolina Refuges Complex of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Tracey annually coordinates approximately 200 volunteers who contribute over 26,000 hours of service.

Visit National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center on Roanoke Island. Open 7 days a week 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Mondays – Saturdays, noon – 4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
