Christine Darnell Daniels Smith, 79, of Aurora, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center-Greenville.

She worked as a beautician for 15-plus years, then volunteered with Aurora Rescue and later became an EMT instructor through Beaufort County Community College. She loved gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonner and Dea Daniels; daughter, Donna Marie Lloyd; son, Richard Earl Lloyd; sister, Mavis Powers; and brother, Jeffrey Daniels.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Brent Smith; stepdaughter, Stephanie (Wesley) Bowers; brothers, Ashley Bonner (Lareen) Daniels, Henry (Joyce) Daniels and Kirby Daniels; sister, Bertie (Ed) Arnhols; and grandson, Caleb Asby.

A memorial service will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted.
