James Daniel “J.D.” Winfield Jr. passed away at the age of 38 on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1982, to James Daniel (“Dan”) Winfield, Sr. and Derenda Carol Chrismon in Washington, North Carolina.

J.D. is survived by his father, James Daniel (“Dan”) Winfield Sr., of Washington; his sisters, Hilary Winfield Olsen (Erik Olsen), of Asheville, Megan Winfield Lau (Luke Lau), of Houston, Texas, and Jane Margaret Winfield-DeLuna (Chayo DeLuna), of Grifton; his nephew and niece, Thomas and Charlotte Lau, and nephews Nicolas and Jonathan DeLuna; and his stepfather, Lloyd T. Chrismon, of Washington. He was preceded in death by his mother, Derenda C. Chrismon.

Services will be announced by Paul Funeral Home & Crematory when it is safe to honor J.D.’s life together as a family.
