Mrs. Peggy Joyce Waters Boyd, age 81, a resident of River Trace Nursing Home in Washington, passed away at Maple Grove Residence in Greensboro, Friday, Oct. 2, 2020.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at The River Church in Bath.

She was born Oct. 20, 1938, to the late Bonnie Lester Waters and Edith Helen Waters. She was a graduate of Bath High School, a retired cosmetologist and one of the original 25 members of (The Barn), now Harvest Church.

Survivors include her son, Bobby J. Boyd Jr. and wife Anita, of Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Boyd Sr., and her grandson, Zachary J. Boyd.
