Six new COVID-19 cases reported in Tyrrell County
Six new coronavirus cases in Tyrrell County were reported last week, the Martin-Tyrrell-Washington District Health Department announced Sunday night.
This brings the total positive cases in Tyrrell to 131, with 123 recoveries, three deaths, and five active cases.
Martin County reported 642 cases, 581 recoveries, 18 deaths, and 43 active cases.
Washington County reported 247 positives, 226 recoveries, eight deaths, and 13 active cases.
At week’s end 24.1% of Tyrrell County inhabitants had been tested for COVID-19. Martin’s testing were at 35.1%, and Washington at 45.6%.
Across North Carolina the figures are: 260,099 cases reported since the outbreak last spring, 4,157 deaths and 218,541 recoveries.
Nationally, the total cases reported are 8.9 million, 230,474 deaths and 5.7 million recoveries.
Globally the case count is 43.3 million, deaths stand at 1.2 million and recoveries at 31.8 million.
