Raymond Sylvester Silverthorne, 89, of Harris St., Williamston, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at the N.C. State Veterans Home in Kinston. A graveside funeral service, with military honors, 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Greg Sexton, Rev. Dallas Gurganus and Rev. Roger Leggett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home and other times from the home. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home of Williamston.
