Bobby Adams, 86, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 AM in Pinewood Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Ralph Brown. Mr. Adams will be available for viewing at the cemetery for one hour prior to the service. In the interest of social distancing guidelines, the family will greet friends prior to and following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Adams, son of the late Stance and Ada Hales Adams, was the last surviving child of 13 children. As a child, he attended Grimesland Schools. He later worked as a brick mason for more than 30 years before later retiring from Craven County Schools Facility Services. He was a proud charter member of Chocowinity United Methodist Church, which he helped build, as well as a member of the Red Men Tau Tribe #18 for more than 50 years. Above all, one of his greatest joys was his family, particularly the time he spent with his grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Taylor Adams. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Dunn of Washington; son, Howard Adams and wife, Lori, of Chocowinity; and grandsons, Austin Adams, Adam Dunn, and Dylan Campbell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chocowinity United Methodist Church, P.O.Box 640, Chocowinity, NC 27817. Wilkerson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. Online condolences can be left at www.WilkersonFuneralHome.com
