Mrs. Clara Virginia “Ginny” Boyd Chrismon, age 79, a resident of 127 Abbey Lane, Washington died on Thursday evening, December 3, 2020 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Dennis R. Davis. John Boyd, Jerry Boyd, Donald Cutler, Gene Jordan, Steven Braddy and Horace Waters will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Chrismon was born in Beaufort County on October 31, 1941, daughter of the late John Henry Boyd and Lola Frances Everett Boyd. She was a 1960 graduate of Bath High School. On November 22, 1968, she married Larry Wayne Chrismon, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2017. She retired from the Beaufort County School System where she served as a teacher’s assistant at Eastern Elementary School. Mrs. Chrismon also was employed with the CIA in Washington, DC and Langley, VA and eight years with the preschool class at the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the NC Teachers Association  and Everetts Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years, sang in the church choir and was active with Vacation Bible School.

She is survived by her son: Jason Scott Chrismon of Washington; her daughter: Paula Jennette Chrismon of Washington; her special caregiver: Shelia Bowden; and her brothers: Dallas Ray Boyd of Washington, Joseph Henry Boyd of Watauga, TX and Topper Boyd of Pinetown.
