Beaufort County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases climbed past 2,000 over the weekend, with 13 new cases reported on Saturday and 20 cases reported on Sunday. The daily update from the Beaufort County Office of Emergency Services and Beaufort County Health Department showed that 12 more cases were reported Monday, bringing the total amount of cases to 2,033.

Officials now know of 309 active cases of COVID-19 cases among Beaufort County residents. Seven of those individuals are hospitalized. After 16 recoveries were reported Monday, 1,666 Beaufort County residents have now recovered from COVID-19.

North Carolina reported 4,770 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, as well as 32 deaths and 24,232 recoveries.

Eastern North Carolina counties with total confirmed cases include: Bertie, (1,055), Beaufort (2,033), Bladen (1,535), Brunswick (3,634), Carteret (2,177), Camden (228), Chowan (718), Columbus (3,051), Craven (3,965), Currituck (496), Dare (802), Duplin (3,745), Edgecombe (2,887), Gates (289), Greene (1,353), Halifax (2,350), Hertford (1,148), Hyde (206), Jones (328), Lenoir (2,682), Martin (1,024), New Hanover (8,204), Northampton (923), Onslow (7,114), Pamlico (465), Pasquotank (1,329), Pender (2,275), Perquimans (413), Pitt (9,551) Sampson (4,227), Tyrrell (159), Washington (368), Wayne (6,640) and Wilson (4,747). Mecklenburg (51,896), Wake (35,343), Guilford (20,364), Forsyth (16,785) and Durham (12,854) counties have the most cases.
