County records 72nd COVID-19-related death

Beaufort County recorded its 72nd COVID-19-related death Thursday, along with 53 new cases and 79 recoveries.

The county’s total case count is now 3,639. County health officials know of 536 active cases among Beaufort County residents, a decrease of 27 from Wednesday’s report. Twenty-one of those individuals are hospitalized.

North Carolina reported 7,187 new cases and 139 COVID-19-related deaths. There are now 110,187 known active cases in North Carolina.
