Frederick Marshall Cutler, Sr., age 84, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Friday January 22, 2021 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday January 25, 2021 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cutler was born on February 10, 1936 to the late Leonard Leroy Cutler and Rosa Respess Cutler. He was a member of the United States Army and later joined the Army National Guard. Mr. Cutler graduated with his master’s degree in education from East Carolina University and was an educator at Washington High School where he taught Driver’s Education and Drafting. He retired from the Washington City School System. Mr. Cutler was a former president of the Jaycees Little League Baseball, a member of the NRA and the VFW. As a younger man Mr. Cutler was very passionate about hunting especially for quail and he loved telling jokes.

Survivors include his son, Frederick Marshall Cutler, Jr. and wife Tammy of Bath; a daughter, Sarah Warren and husband Forrest of Belhaven; four grandchildren, Cody Cutler, Cole Cutler, Kaitlyn Richards, Courtney Richards; four step grandchildren, Samantha Warren, Emily Huettmann, Megan Huettmann, Kristen Huettmann; a step great grandchild, Hayden Huettmann, a sister, Betty Lee and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Cutler and three brothers, Leroy Cutler, Russell Cutler and Richard Cutler.
